Welcome

The Buckland Shag Morris Men are based in the Reigate area of Surrey.  The name is taken from a local tradition of a monstrous horse which was said to inhabit the Shag Brook. The side dances Cotswold Morris and appears at pubs in the area throughout the summer.  Practices are held on Friday nights from 8 o’clock at Leigh Village Hall from September to April.

The Buckland Shag Morris Men are always happy to welcome new members – dancers or musicians. If you are in the Surrey area (and we have some long-distance members) please get in touch. You might be surprised how normal we are!
